Empowering Through Education

Building a brighter future for the children of Bharang

Shree National Basic School Building Handover

Sapana Village Social Impact has officially handed over the newly constructed school building of Shree National Basic School, Bharang. This milestone represents more than just infrastructure—it's a promise of opportunity, a commitment to excellence, and a testament to what's possible when communities come together.

This modern and functional facility will serve around 300 students from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to Grade 8, benefiting children of Ichhakamana Rural Municipality–1.

The project was made possible through the generous support of FEMI Foundation Netherlands, Fresh Leaf Charitable Foundation, and Riksja Travel. Their unwavering commitment to education has transformed the learning landscape for hundreds of children.

The completion of this building marks a significant step toward strengthening access to quality education and creating a safe, supportive learning environment for the community's children. With proper classrooms, adequate facilities, and a conducive atmosphere, students can now focus on their studies and reach their full potential.

Empowering Through Water Access

Transforming communities with clean and sustainable water

Drinking Water Projects Inauguration

Sapana Village Social Impact has inaugurated two major drinking water projects in the Chitwan District. The new systems, located in Parang, Kalika Municipality-10, and Byartesh, Ichhakamana Rural Municipality-1, were formally inaugurated in community ceremonies.

The projects executed with community engagement are designed to address the critical challenge of water scarcity faced by residents. Previously, many households, particularly women and children, spent considerable time and effort collecting water from distant and often unreliable sources.

The newly inaugurated piped water systems eliminate this burden, providing a sustainable and convenient water supply. The initiatives aim to serve as a long-term solution, involving community-led management committees responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water systems. This approach ensures local ownership and the project's sustainability for years to come.

The successful completion of these projects aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and represents SVSI’s commitment to creating tangible, life-improving social infrastructure in Nepal.

Promoting Healthy & Sustainable Living

Empowering rural communities through eco-friendly cooking solutions

Biomass Stove Distribution Program

Sapana Village has successfully distributed 1,080 biomass stoves in the second phase of its initiative to promote healthy lifestyles and environmentally responsible practices in Kalika Municipality.

Building on the positive response from the first phase, the program was expanded in close collaboration with the municipality and local beneficiaries, ensuring that the stoves reached households with the greatest need.

The improved biomass stoves reduce indoor smoke by up to 80%, significantly lowering health risks associated with smoke-related diseases. They also help conserve local forests, reduce fuel consumption, and save valuable time and effort—especially for women.

Through this initiative, Sapana Village continues its commitment to providing practical, sustainable solutions for rural households, enhancing community well-being while protecting the environment for future generations.
